Culinary Class in the Caribbean

Come and enjoy an authentic taste of the Caribbean cooked up by three top chefs for Almond Resorts' third annual Culinary Weekend. This mouth-watering event takes place from Thursday 8th to Monday 12th June at the four-star premium all-inclusive hotels - Almond Beach Club & Spa and Almond Beach Village on Barbados. The chefs involved this year's culinary extravaganza are Colin Hilton, Cindy Hutson and Owen Stewart.
Pastry chef Colin creates delicacies for diners at the much-loved Guilt Trip in Kingston, Jamaica, Cindy is one of the creative minds behind the Ortanique restaurant in Coral Gables, Florida, while Owen is a chef at the stylish Asia de Cuba in London, which offers a fusion of Asian and Latin food.
Guests will receive a warm welcome of cocktails with all three chefs during the evening of Thursday 8th June at Almond Beach Village. High tea is provided the following afternoon courtesy of Colin at the Almond Beach Club & Spa. Evening dinner is provided by the respective guest chefs at the Almond Beach Village and the Almond Beach Club on Saturday 10th June. The weekend finishes in style with a gala dinner, prepared by all three chefs, at the Almond Beach Village on Sunday 11th June.
Guests also have the chance to try their hand at Bajan style cooking through Enid's cooking class, which takes place during the morning of Saturday 10th June, at both the Almond Beach Club & Spa and the Almond Beach Village.
Each of the Almond Resort hotels offers a restaurant authentic to its island serving only local dishes - each Barbados property houses an Enid's restaurant offering Bajan and West Indian dishes from calaloo and flying fish to spicy jerk pork and hot fried chicken. French Creole cuisine and Caribbean-Asian fusion is on offer at Almond Morgan Bay and a variety of cuisine with local ingredients is available at the hotels' a la carte restaurants as well.
Thomas Cook Signature offers seven nights at the Almond Beach Club and Spa on Barbados departing London Gatwick between 1 June and 30 June for £1019 per person - saving £200. This price is based on two adults sharing a standard room on an all-inclusive basis and includes return flights with Virgin Atlantic, resort transfers and taxes.
