Almond Resorts Offers New Fuel Surcharge Discounts As A Summer Bonus To All Holidaymakers

Release Date: Monday, May 1, 2006

Save pounds this summer with a holiday to one of Almond Resorts' three premier all-inclusive Caribbean properties across St Lucia and Barbados, who are offering an extra £70 discount per adult per stay for holidays of 12 nights or more between 01 June - 31 Oct 2006.

Almond Resorts is implementing this discount to help holidaymakers over the summer months who are being hit by the decision by some long-haul airlines to increase the fuel surcharge on flights due to additional rises in the price of crude oil. Year on year, this fuel surcharge has increased the cost of an Almond Holiday by £140 per couple. This offer should bring a smile to their faces, especially to football fans, as it is perfectly timed to coincide with the start of the World Cup.

The offer is valid at Almond Morgan Bay on St. Lucia and both Almond Beach Village and Almond Beach Club & Spa on Barbados, and applies to new bookings made between 18 May and 15 July 2006 for travel between 1 June and 31 October 2006.

The discount is based on one or two adults sharing in a room on an all-inclusive basis and applies to stays of a minimum of 12 nights. The £70 discount will be offered by the following tour operators: Virgin Holidays, Thomas Cook Signature, Kuoni, British Airways Holidays, Thomson Worldwide, Best at Travel, Dial a Flight and Tropical Sky.

12 night holiday prices with Kuoni start from £1430 per person this summer including the extra £70 discount and includes return flights with BWIA from London Heathrow to St Lucia, 12 nights premium all-inclusive stay at Almond Morgan Bay from 1 - 23 June, including all meals, premium brand drinks, sports, activities and entertainment and return airport transfers. Depart Manchester and spend 12 nights at Almond Morgan Bay on the same basis for £1475 including return flights with British Airways via London Gatwick. To book contact Kuoni on 01306 742222.

The World Cup runs from 9 June to 9 July. England's first match will be against Paraguay in Frankfurt on June 10. All England matches will be shown on wide-screen televisions in selected locations in each Almond Resort Hotel.
