Is there a dress code at Almond Resorts?
The tropical climate and relaxed atmosphere of Barbados lend themselves nicely to casual attire. Shoes must be worn, bathing suits must be covered and men are required to wear shirts with sleeves in all restaurants. After 6 pm, nice casual attire is suggested (no shorts or shorts ensembles).
What currency is accepted at the Almond Resort properties?
Legal tender in Barbados is the Barbados Dollar, with a current exchange rate of about $2 BD to US $1. Credit cards, travelers cheques and US currency are accepted virtually everywhere on the island.
Do I need a special adapter for the electrical sockets in my room?
Electric current and power sockets are the same as in the US. The electricity in Barbados is 110 voltage and in St.Lucia is 110 and 220 voltage.
What are the entry requirements to Barbados and St. Lucia?
Entry requirement to Barbados and St. Lucia vary by citizenship. Please check with your appropriate Government Department prior to travel to ensure you have proper documentation. Guests are required to present a valid passport and return airline ticket prior to departure and entry. Upon leaving, a per person departure tax is payable at the airport.
Does Barbados and St. Lucia participate in Daylight Savings Time?
Barbados and St. Lucia are in the Atlantic Time Zone, but do not observe Daylight Savings Time. Throughout the winter months, we are 4 hours behind UK time, while in the summer we are 5 hours behind UK time.
